After a successful project benefiting members of Weingart Center's transitional residential programs in December of 2017, it was decided that Eyes Not Forgotten would partner with one of their other programs in 2018, AmeriCorps's Hope for the Homeless Program. "In 2017, the program engaged 5,890 individuals and families, 3,355 have been connected to housing related services, 399 have been linked to crisis and bridge housing, and 128 have been placed into permanent supportive housing"

On Tuesday, February 13th volunteers and board members from ENF packed 150 backpacks from their partner Olympia USA with hygienic supplies, snacks and bottled water.

The bags were then handed out on Wednesday, February 28th on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles. Not only were 150 backpacks given to those in need, but more importantly homeless men and women met with volunteers from Weingart Center & Americorps about job placement opportunities and housing programs. The goal is to help our brothers and sisters get off the streets and to better their future. "We rise by lifting others."
